Facts about how the app works today (for counsel)

  • Plans: monthly at $6.99 and annual at $59.99, through Stripe Checkout. A $9.99 premium tier exists in code but is switched off.
  • One adult per account. Accounts cannot be shared, linked or joined to another household.
  • Cancel is one click on the account page. Renewal stops immediately; access continues to the end of the paid month or year; no partial refunds (decision recorded 2026-10-30).
  • Receipts and card changes are in Stripe's customer portal.
  • Partner codes can give a percent off, a free period, or full free access with no card. A complimentary first month for subscribers exists in code but is switched off.
  • Free stories can be downloaded as MP3s and are published in a public podcast feed. Their music and pictures are free too.
  • If the business closes, the free stories will be released as plain audio files (decision recorded 2026-10-30).
  • Stories saved for offline listening stay on the device; a subscriber story's offline copy is removed when access ends and the page is next opened online.
  • Each story offers an everyday ending and, on some stories, a faith ending, chosen by the listener each time.
  • Read-along (read it yourself, no audio) is free for the free stories. For subscriber stories it is subscribers only by default (an owner setting).
  • The app never collects a child's name and is not linked to any future plush shop orders.
